Florida A&M's Damien Fleming passed for 399 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Rattlers past Delaware State 24-22 on Saturday.

The Rattlers (2-2, 2-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) has won the past four meetings between the teams and lead the series 22-8.

Travis Harvey was Fleming's principal target, catching 12 passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns for Florida A&M. The Rattlers, who dominated time of possession 35:37 to 24:23, outgained the Hornets (1-3, 0-1) 519 yards to 341 and punted only once.

Dae-Hon Cheung carried most of the load for Delaware State, running 18 times for 136 yards and two touchdowns. Travis Tarpley caught 10 passes for 129 yards. The Hornets played Cincinnati tough last week, forcing six turnovers in a 20-7 loss.

Florida A&M defeated Hampton 44-20 in its MEAC opener in Tallahassee, Fla., last week.
