More than three months remain before we get to see Ezekiel Elliott do his thing on a football field again, but his Heisman Trophy campaign is getting a head start.

Rapper and former Buckeyes walk-on wide receiver Mekka Don kicked the movement into high gear Tuesday with the release of the masterful hype video "Zeke:"

Elliott saved his best for last in 2014, recording career game-highs in rushing yards in Ohio State's final three contests. He tore up Wisconsin in the Big Ten title game (220 yards, two touchdowns), then Alabama in the Sugar Bowl (230, two TDs) and finally Oregon (246, four TDs) as the Buckeyes captured the national title.

"Let's not let our memories forget what he just did," Mekka Don told ESPN. "It was maybe the most impressive three games by a running back maybe ever in college football."

That stretch inspires the chorus of the song, which goes:

Elliott currently sits at 6-to-1 odds to win the Heisman next season, according to Bovada.lv. A running back has not been awarded the trophy since ex-Alabama standout Mark Ingram in 2009. Ingram broke an eight-year drought for running backs after Ron Dayne took home the Heisman as a Wisconsin senior.

"Zeke" also references Elliott peeking up at the Jumbotron to gauge the gap between him and defenders as well as Ohio State's Big Ten and College Football Playoff titles ("Make it look EZE but built like a king/Doing it B1GGER just look at my ring/Look at my rings").

Elliott, however, might not need to look far for his toughest competition, which might come from who starts at quarterback for head coach Urban Meyer. Rising junior Cardale Jones is at 12-1 odds, while rising senior Braxton Miller and soon-to-be sophomore J.T. Barrett are 28-1 bets.
