Ex-UGA QB Faton Bauta to reunite with coach at Colorado State
Former Georgia quarterback Faton Bauta is moving on.
Bauta announced two weeks ago that he would be transferring from the Bulldogs. On Friday night, Colorado State head coach Mike Bobo tweeted that Bauta would be joining the Rams' football team.

Bobo and Bauta share a history, as Bobo was the offensive coordinator at Georgia a year ago before accepting the head-coaching position at Colorado State. Almost a year to the date of Bobo's decision, Bauta has decided to rejoin his coach at Fort Collins.
Bauta explained his decision to transfer from Georgia in a statement, saying, "I feel that the best option for me is to explore a new opportunity." That opportunity may come quickly, as Bauta will be immediately eligible to play for the Rams next season because he has already graduated from Georgia.
The young quarterback started only one game this season, in which he threw four interceptions in the Bulldogs' loss to Florida. He was used primarily as the holder on field goal attempts in 2015 and rarely played much before this season.
Bauta finished his career at Georgia 19 for 38 for 202 passing yards. He also added 13 carries for 50 yards and two touchdowns.
