Ex-PSU officials to confront charges

A court hearing for two Penn State officials will focus on what exactly they were told about child sex-abuse allegations in 2002.

Former Vice President Gary Schultz and former athletic director Tim Curley are charged with lying to a grand jury and failing to report sex-abuse allegations to police.

Longtime assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky waived his preliminary hearing Tuesday on charges he molested 10 boys. But lawyers for Curley and Schultz insist they will challenge the evidence at Friday's hearing in Harrisburg.

Then-graduate assistant Mike McQueary is at the heart of the administrators' case, and he may testify for the first time in public.

McQueary told the grand jury he saw Sandusky raping a boy. But Curley and Schultz say they remember McQueary reporting only inappropriate conduct.
