New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is a big fan of the team's 2015 first-round pick Ereck Flowers, who was selected ninth-overall out of Miami. Manning's protection in the pocket hasn't been up to par as of late, but Flowers has the potential to change that.

Manning spoke with Nick Powell of NJ Advance Media about adding Flowers to the O-line mix.

"Anytime you get a big 330-pound offensive lineman, the quarterback is usually pretty happy about that," Manning told NJ Advance Media. "I didn't get to meet all the draft picks, but I got to meet a couple of them, and say hi, and get on the field and work with them."

Flowers didn't give up a single sack with the Hurricanes in 2014, according to Gordon McGuinness of Pro Football Focus, and he's also a force in the running game. He worked out at left tackle during rookie minicamp, per NJ Advance Media, but could end up competing for a job on the right side during training camp.
