E. Washington 53, Cal Poly 51, OT

Bo Mitchell threw for 436 yards and five touchdowns, and Eastern Washington stopped Cal Poly on a two-point conversion in triple overtime to hang on for a 53-51 victory Saturday night.

Mitchell hit Greg Herd for a 25-yard touchdown in the third overtime, then ran in the two-point conversion to put the Eagles (5-5) on top 53-45. Andre Broadous answered with a 1-yard TD run on fourth down on Cal Poly's possession, but the Mustangs (5-5) failed on the two-point conversion when Broadous' pass was batted away.

Mitchell's 22-yard TD to Cory Mitchell with 1:51 left in regulation sent the game into overtime. The teams exchanged field goals in the first extra period, before Broadous scored on a 1-yard run and Nicholas Edwards caught a 25-yard pass from Herd in the second OT.

Edwards had 10 catches for 136 yards and two TDs, while Cory Mitchell had seven for 132 and a score.

Jake Romanelli had 179 yards rushing and a TD for Cal Poly.
