The Robertson family from the A&E reality show "Duck Dynasty" has been diversifying its portfolio in the sports world.

The family's Duck Commander company recently announced that it would sponsor a NASCAR race at the Texas Motor Speedway, and the company will now serve as the title sponsor for the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, La., according to Brett McMurphy of ESPN.

The Robertson family patriarch, Phil, was a standout quarterback at nearby Louisiana Tech University, supposedly beating out Terry Bradshaw for the starting job at one point. The Independence Bowl is played at Independence Stadium in Shreveport, La.
