Don't expect a two-quarterback rotation at UCLA

Published Aug. 26, 2015 3:47 p.m. ET

UCLA opens the season on Sept. 5 against Virginia, but who will the Bruins go with at quarterback?

The veteran Jerry Neuheisel or the new kid Josh Rosen?

Either way, don't expect both quarterbacks to share valuable time.

“I’m not a two-quarterback guy,” said offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone on Tuesday via The Orange County Register. “I never have been. Whoever is our guy, when he’s out there, he’s our guy, and you have to go through the good times and the bad times.”

When UCLA went with Brett Hundley three years ago, the Bruins stuck to their decision, albeit because he was winning a lot of games.
