DB Chris Moody set to transfer from program
On Tuesday, South Carolina defensive back Chris Moody took to Twitter to announce his intentions of moving on from the program.
A redshirt junior out of Georgia, he will be eligible to play right away at whichever school he eventually chooses.
Throughout the course of his career in Columbia, Moody was primarily a reserve. He did see a few spot-starts, but was never an overly integral member of the defense.
Forever grateful for the opportunity. Best fans ever. Thanks South Carolina! #NextStep #ForeverToThee -CM6 pic.twitter.com/9Deoby3KJG

When looking at the current depth chart in the secondary for Will Muschamp and the Gamecocks, the likes of D.J. Smith, Al Harris Jr., Rico McWilliams, Rashad Fenton, and Chris Lammons are all returning in 2016. Junior college transfer JaMarcus King also figures to be heavily in the mix for some playing time.
While losing a player to transfer is never ideal, it doesn't appear as if the departure of Moody will hurt much from a depth standpoint.
