Steve Valentino hit Anthony Papp with a 16-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to give Dayton a 21-20 win over San Diego on Saturday.

The Flyers (5-1, 3-0 Pioneer League) scored in three plays from their 27-yard line after the Toreros (1-5, 1-2) went ahead 20-14 on Sam Scudellari's scoring pass to Patrick Doyle with about 13 minutes left the fourth quarter.

Valentino found Justin Watkins on a 41-yard pass and, combined with a facemask penalty, moved the ball to the 17.

One play later, Valentino found a wide open Papp for the score that tied it at 20. Nick Glavin's kick for the extra point put the Flyers ahead.
