David Shaw using social media to display immense recruiting tool
When looking at the college program comprising the best combination of academics and athletics at a high level, very few compare to Stanford.
With signing day less than two weeks away, head coach David Shaw took to Twitter to subtly remind recruits of this assertion.
Shaw has achieved a great deal since taking over the head coaching position from Jim Harbaugh in 2011. The Stanford graduate has won 54 games in four years -- including two Rose Bowl victories and three conference titles.

Academically (as Shaw pointed out), Stanford is regarded as the nation's fourth-best institution by U.S. News and World Report Ranking. A degree from Stanford will understandably open plenty of doors from an opportunity standpoint.
As currently constituted, Stanford has the No. 18 class in the country (via Scout.com). With some big fish still on the board (Jeffrey McCulloch, Obi Eboh, Mike Williams, Demetris Robinson, Nate Herbig), Shaw will likely be pointing to these factors as signing day approaches on Feb. 3.
