Cowboys dodge bullet with Mike Yurcich staying, not bolting for Tulane

Several reports mentioned Oklahoma state offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich possible leaving Stillwater and taking Tulane's open head coaching position, but Tulane opted to look elsewhere, and Yurcich will stay with the Cowboys.

Still, Mike Gundy knows his talented OC is an attractive commodity to other teams. He's not convinced he won't get plucked by an appealing job.

“I don't want to step on that ledge too fast,” Gundy said, “because (other programs) can come and get (our coaches) at any time."

The Pokes lost special teams coach Robbie Discher last week to a promotion job at Toledo.
