College Football: Week 4 announcer pairings
Who will you have to listen to for a few hours as you watch your favorite team this weekend? Find out which announcer pairings are calling the marquee Week 4 games.
There are some great games on Saturday, but you better have the remote handy and multiple screens going if you are going to catch all the action. While there are four games that pit Top 25 teams against each other, three of them will be played during the afternoon slate. Two of those kick off at noon.
No. 12 Georgia puts its undefeated record on the line at No. 23 Ole Miss on ESPN at noon. The Big Ten’s premier game of the week kicks off at the same time and matches up a pair of undefeated teams – No. 11 Wisconsin and No. 8 Michigan State.
Saturday will be one of the more killer travel days for ESPN/ABC’s top announcing crew. Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will leave Knoxville after College GameDay because CBS has the Tennessee-Florida game and hop on a plane to get to the Rose Bowl to call the primetime game between No. 7 Stanford and UCLA.
Joe Tessitore and company have the perfect ingredients for another Tess Effect instant classic. He will be the lead on the call of the 9 p.m. ESPN game between No. 17 Arkansas and No. 10 Texas A&M at AT&T Stadium aka Jerry World.
Everyone’s favorite gambler-friendly play-by-play guy, Brent Musburger, has been relegated to the SEC Network again. He, Jesse Palmer, and Kaylee Hartung will be looking live at Kentucky as they host South Carolina.
