College football week 12 is upon us. We take a look at the top three bets to make as we near the end of our college football season.

FSU football took Boston College out behind the woodshed last week to improve to 7-3 on the season, and several of the top ranked teams were upset in a crazy week of college football.

Recap

-We took Texas -2 against West Virginia. Yall know my rule by now. A favored unranked team against a rank team. Texas had more total yards, more time of possession, forced FOUR turnovers and had 11 more first downs. Yet they lost by four points. Good bet here that just lost. Loss

-We took UNC -10 against Duke. This was a game that UNC jumped out to a 14-0 lead after one-quarter, then the real UNC defense decided to show up. Duke outplayed UNC and ran the ball down their throats while forcing two turnovers. Terrible bet in hindsight. Loss

-We took Alabama vs. Mississippi St UNDER 55. Alabama dominated this game as we thought they would. The total landed at 54, but that was because of a garbage time Bama TD with 2 right over two minutes left. Win

We’re 18-24-3 on the season.  Let’s get into our top three bets and get some positive momentum going for us.

Miami -3 vs. NC State

Time: 12:30 p.m.

How to watch: ACC Network

Where: Carter-Finley Stadium, Raleigh, NC

Miami has finally gotten over their loss to rival NC State, winning back-to-back games against Pittsburgh and Virginia. Both of these teams field good defenses according to S&P + metrics, but Miami has the better offense. Take Miami to cover.

Sep 1, 2016; Louisville, KY, USA; The Louisville Cardinals take the field before the first quarter against the Charlotte 49ers at Papa John

Louisville vs. Houston UNDER 69

Time: 8:00 p.m. (Thursday night)

How to watch: ESPN

Where: TDECU Stadium, Houston, TX

It’s a matchup that lost of all its luster from earlier in the season. Houston will host a Louisville team that knows they need to win big, so they’ll be up for this game to play spoiler. Both teams field defenses that give up 20 and 21 points per game respectively. Louisville’s offense is incredibly explosive, but I think 69 points is a bit high.

VA Tech Pick’em vs. Notre Dame

Time: 3:30 p.m.

How to watch: NBC

Where: Notre Dame Stadium, Notre Dame, IN

Virginia Tech comes into this game knowing they can’t afford another loss or their ACC Coastal title hopes go up in flames. Virginia Tech has the better defense and better special teams play. Take the Hokies to win this one.

Good luck with your college football betting picks, and remember to bet responsibly.
