Nate Eachus ran for a school-record 291 yards and scored three touchdowns to help Colgate easily handle Cornell in a 44-3 rout on Saturday.

Eachus, who finished with 25 carries, broke the previous record of 280 yards set by Jamaal Branch in 2003 against Holy Cross.

Quarterback Greg Sullivan added 102 yards on the ground and three touchdowns for the Raiders (4-2). He also threw for 63 yards, completing 5 of 12 passes.

Colgate took a 17-0 lead in the second quarter when Eachus ran for a career-long 66-yard touchdown. The Raiders pushed their margin to 31 points after Sullivan scored on a 53-yard run and Eachus added a 25-yard rushing score.

Colgate's defense, which had seven sacks, held Cornell (1-4) scoreless until Brad Greenway kicked 36-yard field goal with 5:58 left in third quarter.

Cornell's Jeff Mathews threw for 92 yards and one interception.
