Cody Kessler becomes 135th Trojan featured on Sports Illustrated cover

If you live on the west coast, you can grab a copy of this week's Sports Illustrated with USC quarterback Cody Kessler featured on the cover.

Kessler, considered a favorite to win the Heisman Trophy this season, is a senior set to have a huge year for USC. He is the 135th Trojan featured on the cover. The most recent came in August 2012, with Matt Barkley. Other SI covers were given to Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart and Carson Palmer.

The Sports Illustrated headline ("The Trojans Horse: Cody Kessler is Back") invites people to wonder if, indeed, USC is "back" as a playoff contender this season.

But as ReignOfTroy.com observes, Kessler will have to play Arizona State, Notre Dame and Oregon (all on the road) this season to reach desired glory.
