Zach MacDowall threw five touchdown passes and rushed for another score Saturday as Coastal Carolina rolled to a 70-3 win over Charleston Southern.

The Chanticleers (6-5, 5-1 Big South) scored on all but two of their offensive possessions, and returned an interception and a punt for touchdowns.

MacDowall completed 15 of 20 passes for 248 yards, and threw for touchdowns to five receivers. Eric O'Neal, who caught a 23-yard scoring pass, also rushed for a 7-yard touchdown and was the Chanticleers' leading rusher with 65 yards on 11 carries.

After Andy Brown kicked a 43-yard field goal to pull Charleston Southern (3-8, 1-5) within 14-3, MacDowall threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Racheed Gause, Tre Henderson returned an interception 66 yards for a score, and Niccolo Mastromatteo returned a punt 91 yards to give the Chanticleers a 35-3 halftime lead.
