ATLANTA -- Quarterback Deshaun Watson will not return to No. 19 Clemson's game against No. 22 Georgia Tech after suffering an apparent left knee injury.
Watson, who returned as a starter after missing three games with a broken bone in his right hand, was hurt when making a cut late in the first quarter of Saturday's game. Watson ran for 7 yards and a first down before falling to the ground and grabbing his left knee.
Watson, a freshman, walked off the field and was escorted to the locker room. Clemson says Watson will not return for the second half.
Cole Stoudt replaced Watson and had a pass intercepted on his third play by Jamal Golden and returned 93 yards for a touchdown.
