Cincinnati player out of hospital
A Bearcats receiver from Florida who was injured in a traffic accident last month has been released from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Freshman Mark Barr of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is making steady progress in his recovery, a school spokesman said on Tuesday. He was moved to a rehabilitation facility.
Freshman offensive lineman Ben Flick of Hamilton, Ohio, was killed in the one-vehicle accident on Sept. 21 after a game against Miami University in Oxford. The driver — an 18-year-old Miami student — also died.
Barr and receiver Javon Harrison from suburban Dayton also were passengers. Harrison was treated and released.
The three players were redshirt freshmen who didn't travel with the team. They had attended the game on their own and were heading back to Cincinnati.
