Chattanooga honoring children lost in school bus crash
The Chattanooga football team will honor the children lost in this week’s tragic school bus crash at nearby Woodmore Elementary School with helmet decals.
Six children were killed and others were injured after a driver veered off of the school bus’s route and slammed into a tree. The driver, Johnthony Walker, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment and reckless driving, police said.
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and the elementary school are just over four miles apart.
