WHAT'S AT STATE: The Knights are the last unbeaten team in the American Athletic Conference and hold their highest ranking in program history. They hit the top 15 in the AP poll for the first time since the program's inception in 1979 and need to keep winning to have a chance at a big bowl game.
KEY MATCHUP: Temple's defense will find it tough to shut down UCF QB Bortles. Bortles has 2,080 yards passing and 15 touchdowns. He's been the key reason the Knights are unbeaten in conference play. Breshad Perriman, with 27 catches for 567 yards, has become Bortles' favorite target.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
UCF: RB Storm Johnson has been fantastic for the Knights this season. He has 719 yards rushing with nine touchdowns and has emerged as perhaps the best running back in the AAC.
Temple: QB P.J. Walker has made the most of his opportunity to run the offense since he took over earlier this season. He has 1,094 yards passing and 11 touchdowns in just four starts and has proved he can be the centerpiece off the Owls as they try and improve under first-year coach Matt Rhule.
