Gunnar Jespersen rushed for two touchdowns and passed for 199 yards as Central Connecticut State earned a share of the Northeast Conference championship with a 23-13 win over St. Francis (Pa.) on Saturday.

The Blue Devils (8-3, 7-1) split the NEC crown, its fourth in school history, with Robert Morris, but the Colonials will represent the conference in the FCS playoffs by virtue of their win over Central Connecticut earlier this year.

Jespersen led the Blue Devils with 199 yards on 15-of-27 passing and 50 rushing yards on 16 carries. Senior Everette Benjamin had 117 yards on the ground on 16 carries for the Blue Devils while classmate Josue Paul had 105 yards on eight catches.

Dan Conley got the Red Flash (1-10, 1-7) on the board midway through the fourth with a 1-yard touchdown. Jude Yearwood added another score with 2:30 to go.
