Cal Bears land 4-star all-purpose back Melquise Stovall

The Bears have landed a huge commitment from four-star all-purpose back Melquise Stovall. 

Stovall, who is likely to play wide receiver at Cal, was once committed to USC. The 5'8", 180 pounder is ranked as the No. 3 all-purpose back in the 2016 recruiting class. He is also ranked as the No. 26 prospect in California and No. 149 in the nation.

Stovall also held offers from  Arizona, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Utah, UCLA and USC, among others.
