BYU football: Butch Pau'u doubtful against Toledo
BYU football star linebacker Butch Pau’u is doubtful for tonight’s game against Toledo.
Butch Pau’u has become a key cog in BYU football’s defense, but according to reports from 1320 KFAN’s Mitch Harper, Pau’u is doubtful for the Cougars game tonight against the Toledo Rockets.
ESPN 960’s Ben Criddle had a similar report for Pau’u.

Pau’u has apparently been walking around with a knee brace. It’s been speculated that he hurt his knee on this play against the West Virginia Mountaineers at FedEx Field last Saturday.

If Pau’u can’t play, look for some combination of Austin Heder, Phillip Amone and Johnny Tapusoa to fill in. Heder has played well in limited reps this season, but has totaled just 18 tackles in his career.
Other Cougars dealing with injuries are Fred Warner, Travis Tuiloma and Micah Hannemann.
Warner is questionable to play, while Tuiloma should be on a snap count. Hannemann will likely be a full go for head coach Kalani Sitake.
BYU kicks off against Toledo at 8:15 p.m. MDT. The game can be viewed on ESPN2.
