Bucknell has 7 TOs in 16-0 loss to Sacred Heart

J.D. Roussel intercepted three passes as Sacred Heart forced seven turnovers in a 16-0 win over Bucknell on Saturday night.

Sacred Heart (5-0) allowed just 164 yards of total offense and forced Bucknell into turnovers on five straight possessions, all of which occurred in Sacred Heart territory.

After Roussel's first two interceptions, Bucknell (1-2) turned the ball over on downs and lost two fumbles. Connor Candito and Roussel also had an interception apiece late in the fourth. Bucknell's Trey Lauletta threw four interceptions and went just 10 of 26 for 59 yards.

The Pioneers got on the board in the second quarter with a 64-yard touchdown pass from RJ Noel to Moses Webb and tacked on a field goal for a 9-0 halftime lead. Keshaudas Spence also ran for a 20-yard score late in the fourth. Spence finished with 126 yards rushing.

The shutout was Sacred Heart's first since 2002.
