Allan Bridgford started at quarterback in place of the injured Zach Maynard in California's home finale against No. 2 Oregon.
Maynard injured his left knee last week and did not practice leading up to Saturday night's game against the Ducks. Maynard walked onto the field with a limp as he was honored on senior day.
This is the second career start for Bridgford. He also started the season opener against Nevada when Maynard was benched as for punishment for missing a tutoring session. Maynard entered that game late in the first quarter.
Cal is also without inured starting tackle Matt Summers-Gavin and star receiver Keenan Allen for the game as both are nursing knee injuries.
