The standout linebacker from Baton Rouge, Louisiana has been called a “disruptive force”in the Crimson Tide’s defensive scheme. Williams was named to the Watch Lists for several end-of-season awards, including Bednarik, Lott, Nagurski, Butkus and Lombardi.

Williams committed to the Alabama football program in 2013. According to RollTide.com, Williams developed into a “dangerous pass rusher,” ranking fifth in the SEC with .70 sacks per game in 2015. At the end of the season, Williams ranked 2nd on Mel Kiper’s Early Big Board for next year’s draft, and is arguably the best pass rusher in the country.

Tim looked so good during Alabama’s annual A-Day game that ESPN’s Joey Galloway asked Nick Saban at halftime whether they may have to double-team Williams in the second half.

So far in 2016, Williams recorded six tackles, four of which are solo, and 1.5 sacks. Along with Jonathan Allen and Reuben Foster, Williams is noted as a strong leader on the Crimson Tide’s defensive side of the ball.

No word yet on exactly what will happen to Williams in regards to this arrest. Some say that the charge is “lesser” and carries a smaller weight than something more serious. Most people believe Tim will be suspended for this week’s Kentucky game, but will return for Arkansas next week.
