Brantley expected to play vs. Georgia
Florida quarterback John Brantley is returning to practice and is expected to play against No. 22 Georgia on Saturday.
Brantley badly sprained his right ankle against Alabama on Oct. 1 and missed the next two games.
The Gators have lost three in a row, and coach Will Muschamp says Brantley's return will be ''a huge psychological shock'' for a team trying to stay alive in the Southeastern Conference's Eastern Division.
Brantley was wearing a protective boot early last week, but started throwing passes at practice later in the week. Muschamp says he will practice in a limited role Monday.
Brantley has completed 65 percent of his passes for 942 yards this season, with five touchdowns and three interceptions. The fifth-year senior played the best football of his career against Alabama.
