Bowling Green returned two interceptions for touchdowns, scoring the first 21 points and the final 16 Saturday night in a 44-28 win over Marshall.

Dwayne Woods returned an interception 78 yards for a touchdown, and Matt Schilz passed for one touchdown and ran for another as Bowling Green (1-2) jumped to a 21-0 lead.

The Thundering Herd (0-3) tied the game at 28 with 1:01 left in the third quarter on Martin Ward's 1-yard run.

The Falcons responded with Bryan Wright's 27-yard field goal, and Aaron Pankratz threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Tyrone Pronty with 9:21 left.

Jerry Gates returned an interception 29 yards for a touchdown on Marshall's next possession.

Schilz completed 19 of 25 passes for 181 yards, and Pankratz completed 5 of 8 for 111 yards.

Andre Booker rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown for Marshall.
