Boise State defeats Wyoming 63-14

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) Jay Ajayi rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns and also scored on a 73-yard screen pass in leading Boise State over Wyoming 63-14 Saturday night.

Grant Hedrick completed 13 of 19 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns as Boise State (9-2, 6-1 Mountain West) gouged the Cowboys defense with its superior speed and scored its most points in a game this season.

Donte Deayon had a 75-yard punt return for a TD, and Darian Thompson returned an interception 36 yards for a score.

The Broncos, who entered the game ranked 11th in total offense with an average of 508.9 yards per game, gained 558 total yards, averaging 8.2 yards per play.

Wyoming (4-7, 2-5) has yet to beat Boise State in the nine games the two teams have played.

The Broncos will play in the conference championship if they win next week against Utah State.

The Cowboys were led by Brian Hill, who rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns from 6 and 1 yards out.

Wide receiver Dominic Rufran had 3 catches for 19 yards, setting a Mountain West and school record with a reception in 48 consecutive games.

Starting quarterback Colby Kirkegaard left the game in the first half with an ankle injury and didn't return.
