Daniel Jones was named the ACC Football Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this year after a career performance in the season finale against Miami.

The Atlantic Coast Conference recently announced their final weekly player awards for the 2016 college football season, and Duke quarterback Daniel Jones was honored as the ACC Rookie of the Week.

Jones recorded 316 passing yards and three touchdowns in a loss to the Miami Hurricanes over the weekend. He was efficient from the quarterback position completing 34 out of 50 passes, including his first 10 in a row, and no interceptions. In the game he had his fourth 300+ passing yard game this season and broke the program records for most pass attempts as a rookie without an interception.

Unfortunately, the Blue Devils needed to win against Miami over the weekend to have a shot at a bowl game selection and will miss the postseason for the first time in five years. Duke Football will look to regroup and get healthy during the offseason to improve for next year.
