The allure of staying home was too much for Lloyd Cushenberry to pass up.

A 6-foot-4, 310-pound guard from Geismar, La., Cushenberry committed to LSU on National Signing Day -- reneging on his longtime pledge to South Carolina in the process.
Les Miles had offered the big guard on Sunday night -- only a few days before signing day. A mauler in the run game, Cushenberry's physicality and sheer size will fit in nicely with LSU's run-heavy offensive scheme.
The Tigers continue to to hit the state of Louisiana hard with this 2016 class. As it currently stands, LSU has pledges from 22 prospects -- 15 of which hailing from the Pelican State.
