Bielema Let's Us Know This Won't Be Tolerated
I’ve said it before, if you watch every coaches presser, you will hear the same thing from Bret Bielema every time he is at the podium.
This Monday’s coaches press conference after the LSU loss was just business as usual for head coach Bret Bielema. It was the second time this season that Bielema made sure to say that the latest loss was unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
So what is he trying to say here? After the 56-3 loss Auburn handed to Arkansas, Bielema said the exact same thing he said today. One thing to note at the end of his statement today he said: “Everyone needs to take a step forward, starting with me”. Does this echo what I said after the Auburn loss when I said change is coming?
More than likely this is the case. If I had to make an educated guess, I’d say Robb Smith is probably already looking for another job. According to the Arkansas stat master, Andrew Hutchinson, the Hog defense is as bad as it gets.
The fans might as well accept that this season is almost over and that nothing will change until it’s over. I mean let’s be honest here, there are only two games left. Letting Robb Smith go at this point would be pretty pointless. That said, if the Razorbacks were to lose to Mississippi state this coming week, there could be drastic changes after that game.
Whether change comes now or later, the point is that Hog fans are tired of hearing the same thing over and over from Bielema. When any team is doing as poorly as Arkansas is, the fanbase wants a head on pike immediately but that isn’t how it works. There will be changes but not until the end of the year. Woo pig.
