BC offers New Jersey four-star defensive tackle

The offers keep pouring in for four-star class of 2017 defensive tackle Fred Hansard, who according to his coach at Hun High School in New Jersey, has received offers from Boston College, Virginia Tech, Arizona State and Michigan in the last two days.

"A lot of coaches are saying he’s the rare combination of size, speed and agility," Smith told NJ.com. "They say he explodes off the line of scrimmage which makes him an extremely disruptive player."

The 6-3,314-pound Hansard, who racked up 29 tackles for a loss and six sacks last season, now has a total of 11 scholarship offers.
