BC coach still mum on QB situation

Boston College coach Frank Spaziani is still mum on his starting quarterback for Saturday night's game against Notre Dame.

Spaziani said ''We will have to determine soon'' whether Chase Rettig or Mike Marscovetra will start. He said both have the physical skills to do the job.

Spaziani replaced starter Dave Shinskie after three games.

The Eagles are 2-1, but they were shut out in last week's Atlantic Coast Conference opener against Virginia Tech.

Players have said that Rettig, a freshman, has been taking most of the snaps in practice this week.
