Backup WR Craig dismissed from Clemson

Clemson reserve wide receiver Joe Craig was dismissed from the team by Tigers coach Dabo Swinney.

Swinney announced the move on Wednesday night, saying Craig was permanently dismissed for violating team rules. He didn't specify what rule was broken by Craig.

Craig was a redshirt freshman on last year's team and had three catches for 18 yards in seven games this past fall. He also was a sprinter on Clemson's track team last spring.

Craig missed the first three games of last season because of an altercation with a female member of the Tigers track team. Neither Craig nor Marlena Wesh were charged in the incident.
