Auburn prospect decommits following a visit to Alabama

In the world of college football recruiting, a commitment means little until the papers are officially signed on National Signing Day. The latest example of that? The Auburn Tigers lost a commitment from defensive lineman David Marshall on Tuesday after visiting the Crimson Tide over the weekend.

Tuesday morning:

Marshall is currently ranked as a three-star prospect from Thomaston, Georgia and has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Clemson and Georgia Tech among others.

The Iron Bowl rivalry never really rests in Alabama and of course the competition often overflows to the recruiting world. Which ever side Marshall chooses, he'll immediately be loved by half the state and loathed by the other.
