DeAndre Presley threw for a touchdown and ran for another as the Mountaineers crushed Savannah State 41-6 on Saturday night.

Up 10-0 after the first quarter, Presley followed up a 48-yard touchdown pass to Brian Quick with a 2-yard rushing score to help Appalachian State (2-1) take a 27-0 halftime lead.

The Mountaineers had a 34-0 advantage with 5:53 left to play in the third quarter after Steven Miller's 3-yard scoring run.

Presley finished 11 of 17 passing with 186 yards and added 21 yards on seven carries for the Mountaineers.

Quick had 81 yards on five receptions with one TD, bringing his career total to 24 - one shy of the all-time school record for receiving touchdowns.

Antonio Bostick threw 15 of 33 for 136 yards with an interception, and ran for 37 more with a TD for the Tigers (0-3).
