AP Top 25 poll: Auburn falls to No. 9; Oregon rises to No. 3
Auburn's loss to Texas A&M knocked the Tigers from the top five of the AP Top 25 poll and likely cost the team a shot at the College Football Playoff. We could be in store for another big shakeup next wekeend.
That's because top-ranked Mississippi State, which walked over Tennessee Martin on Saturday, heads to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama, which rose to No. 3 in the poll with an overtime win at LSU. And let's not forget No. 2 Florida State heading to Miami to face off against the Hurricanes, who have won four of their last five games.
Meanwhile, Baylor, Arizona State and Ohio State made big leaps forward after big wins in marquee matchups. Baylor rose four spots to No. 6 after downing Oklahoma, Arizona State held on to beat Notre Dame and rose four spots to No. 7, and Ohio State had a massive offensive showing against a Michigan State team known for its defense, moving up five spots to No. 8.
