AP source: Foster Farms to sponsor Bay Area bowl
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) The Bay Area bowl game that will be played in the new Levi's Stadium will be known as the Foster Farms Bowl.
A person with knowledge of the deal told the Associated Press on Tuesday that Foster Farms will be the title sponsor for the game to be played in Santa Clara on Dec. 30. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal will not be announced until Wednesday.
The bowl had previously been played in San Francisco. It was called the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl from 2010-12 and just the Fight Hunger Bowl last year when it did not have a title sponsor. The game will remain committed to the cause of fighting hunger, with each ticket sold leading to a meal for a hungry family in the Bay Area.
The game will feature teams from the Big Ten and Pac-12 conferences.
