Anzalone "doubtful" for UK, Ivey returns to practice

Florida revealed a bit of injury news on Wednesday morning.
Jim McElwain says LB Alex Anzalone is "doubtful to out" against Kentucky with a shoulder injury. Same he had a couple of years ago #Gators

Starting SLB Alex Anzalone is "doubtful to out" for the game versus Kentucky on Saturday. Anzalone re-injured the shoulder he damaged as a freshman in 2013. He underwent a surgery during that time period to help fix a labrum problem. On the week three depth chart, Anzalone was listed as a starter at SLB, and as the primary backup to Antonio Morrison at MLB. It clear depth within the linebacker corps isn't super strong.
It isn't known as to whether this shoulder injury is a chronic one. Anzalone has six tackles on the season, and demonstrated very good leadership qualities. Jeremi Powell and Jarrad Davis will man the spot for the fallen Gator.
From a more positive standpoint, freshman tackle Martez Ivey has returned to practice. According to head Jim McElwain from his Wednesday teleconference, Ivey's looked good.
"Martez actually played very well [Tuesday] and [Wednesday] morning, the response on that particular injury shows very good."
Nord says if Vernon Hargreaves is well and ready to go then he will return punts. "That guy back there makes a difference." #Gators

Ivey would instantly improve the depth and overall talent of the unit. He was one of the most physically-gifted high schools prospects entering college in 2015, and has every characteristic needed to one day be a potential NFL athlete.
