It’s over. Thank goodness. Really, that’s all that I can say. Now let’s wrap up what we just witnessed.

My editor was quick to remind me that using any four letter words when writing the wrap-up for Alabama at Arkansas is forbidden. Not that I would ever do that, however, there were some moments that I felt like I was going to emit them during the game.

Alabama was better – let’s face it. Their defense was in the backfield more than our own running backs. Their offensive perimeter blocking is definitely the best I have seen in years. And their strategy worked out like Lou Ferrigno before a Salt Lake City ‘Comic Con’.

No, despite my frustrations (expressed on “Twitter”) with the officiating and some Bama fan that used profanity when calling Bret Bielema a “whiny bad influence”, I will address neither. Okay, I MIGHT summarize the hold [there is your four-letter word, Mr. Editor] on a touchdown pass from Austin Allen to Drew Morgan that now never was due to a horrid holding call against Brian Wallace. Wrong ref, wrong call.

Arkansas hurt themselves too many times, meanwhile Alabama capitalized each and every opportunity. Five turnovers are just too many, especially deep in our own territory. Likewise, if the HOGS offensive line cannot keep defenders out of the quarterback’s face, our season may get worse. The Tide had our running game silenced, furthermore, they had great coverage on our wideouts long enough for their front to sack or pressure Allen. Honestly, my abacus is now broken in keeping pace with all of the times Allen was taken to the artificial turn in DWR.

I would be remiss if I did not mention the classy moves by the Alabama team, its coaching staff, ESPN, and countless fans of the sports and of Arkansas Football. The kindness, concerns, and words of condolences extended to Frank Ragnow after the passing of his Father, Jon Ragnow. From more than just us fans (and we are just that, fans), thank you so much. Our thoughts and Prayers extend to the Ragnow Family and their hero.

You only get better by playing the best. The Razorbacks may not have played up to their expectations, however, you can bet that this upcoming Saturday will hopefully seem a little easier to execute thanks to tonight. Kudos to Alabama for coming to play tonight. Freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts is the real deal. Great job by both teams, including The HOGS who showed toughness and resolve. They will need it this Saturday as Ole Miss comes to town. Stay strong and stay with us, Razorbacks fans.

Oh, I lied earlier in this wrap-up, I can say one more thing: Go HOGS!!!
