Since Clay Helton took over as interim head coach for USC, the only loss came to No. 5 overall Notre Dame. USC kept the game competitive, 41-31.
According to LA Times, USC players are beginning to "rally" around the interim head coach. The report explains practices are short with more emphasis on competition. Helton has also made a noted emphasis on "Trojan Family" in media interviews; every Tuesday concludes with a team family dinner.
“I feel like we are coming together as a unit,” said USC star Adoree’ Jackson, in the report. “Defensively, offensively and just going out there and having fun and playing for our coach.”
