ACC analyst names Virginia Tech's Eric Gallo as a breakout player

ESPN's David M. Hale identified the ACC's breakout performers of the spring, and Virginia Tech center Eric Gallo was one of the players he named. The Hokies are still searching for a solid starting five along the offensive line, so Gallo's improved play is particularly helpful.

"The spring results were encouraging, particularly on the inside where, Gallo stepped into a starting role at center and has meshed well with Wyatt Teller and Augie Conte and shown a quick aptitude on the field," Hale wrote.

With a formidable interior offensive line coming together, the Hokies should be able to generate a more consistent push up front for the running game.
