Abilene Christian defeats Prairie View 65-45

John David Baker accounted for five touchdowns as Abilene Christian won 65-45 Saturday in a shootout over Prairie View Saturday.

There were 15 touchdowns and 1,264 yards of total offense between the schools.

Baker threw touchdown passes of 13, 5, 9 and 11 yards, and did not throw an interception. He scored the opening touchdown on a 1-yard run to lead Abilene Christian (6-5) to 692 yards of total offense.

Baker has 36 touchdowns this season, and becomes the fifth quarterback in school history to surpass 3,000 yards passing in a season.

Charcandrick West had touchdown runs 60 and 50 yards to go with his four touchdowns.

Prairie View (5-6) had 572 yards of total offense. Jerry Lovelocke threw five touchdown passes. Courtney Brown had a game-high 131 yards rushing, including a 31-yard TD run.
