61-year-old kicks extra point in Div. III game

Thompson, a grad student who was a backup kicker in high school more than 40 years ago, was put into the game for the first time this season to try for an extra point in the second quarter against Trinity University.

Despite having to adjust to a messy snap, Thompson was successful.

It wasn't enough for the Division III Kangaroos, though. They lost 44-10.
