Floyd Mayweather calls McGregor "Conor McTapout" on Instagram
Retired welterweight boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. continued his verbal assault on Conor McGregor through social media, making fun of UFC lightweight champion for his loss to Nate Diaz earlier this year.
Mayweather posted an Instagram video of McGregor tapping out to Diaz during UFC 196 in March. Mayweather offered followers $10,000 for the best caption posted about the video, which has a screenshot that says "49-0 vs. Connor [sic] the Notorious Quitter."
Mayweather then went on Instagram Live to talk about McGregor more, calling him "Conor McTapout."
McGregor was issued a boxing license in California and has repeatedly called for a match with Mayweather, even saying he wanted $100 million for the bout.
But the CEO of Mayweather Promotions has said that a fight between McGregor and Mayweather will never happen and added that McGregor getting a boxing license was a "game" and a "calculated effort to gain more fans."
