On international duty Diatta has been called up by Senegal for AFCON and is not an option for the time being.
Impact Diatta will not be available again until later in January for the club, as he is off to AFCON with Senegal. Luckily for the club, he hasn't started in a match since Nov. 22, so this won't force a change, although it will be a loss of depth. A return is likely to come in the second or third week of January, depending on how his team does in the competition.

The midfielder will hope to recover in time for the clash against Rennes after the break since he has been a regular starter under new coach Sebastien Pocognoli. Jordan Teze or Vanderson could be the potential options to start on the right flank on Saturday.

Impact Diatta played the full 90 over the weekend but will be unable to make the call Tuesday, with the attacker sidelined due to an eye injury. This is something to watch for the club, as he has started in their past seven games on the flank. This will then force a change for the club, with Jordan Teze possibly moving to right-back or Stanis Idumbo Muzambo to enter the starting XI in his place, as the defence is very injured for Monaco at the moment.

Impact Since Diatta made his season debut, he has doubled his cross tally with each and passing game. Against Nice, the wing-back multiplied his chances created by six, going from one to six. Diatta's recent form suggests he will get a lot of playing time moving forward, which makes sense considering Monaco's team must focus on both domestic and European matchups.
