Returns to practice Monday Phommachachn made his return to practice Monday, John Sarianides of New England Football Journal reports.

Impact Phommachahn underwent surgery last November and has slowly been working his way back to the Huskies sidelines. The 5-foot-10 quarterback appeared in three games last season in the backup quarterback role. Phommachahn will likely assume the same role this season, backing up Ta'Quan Roberson. His return to practice is a good sign heading into the season opener on August 27.

Knee slowly improving Phommachanh (knee) has made the most of his practice reps this spring while still limited, Ric Serritella of Sports Illustrated reports.

Impact The quarterback underwent ACL surgery in November and described himself as "70-75 percent" healthy Friday. Phommachanh played in three games in 2021, compiling 321 passing yards and a touchdown while throwing two interceptions. He also added 92 yards and a score on the ground before going down with the knee injury. When healthy, Phommachanh will compete with Steven Krajewski and Ta'Quan Roberson for snaps under center.
