WWE's Monday Night Raw had one of the strangest endings ever

Weekly episodes of Monday Night Raw have a new energy now that WWE has transitioned to the "New Era," and last night's show featured some impressive matches (Kevin Owens beat Zack Ryder, Sami Zayn beat The Miz to earn an Intercontinental title shot and Sin Cara stunned Rusev) along with the main roster debut of NXT star Dana Brooke.

The way Raw ended, however, was hilariously strange. The show opened with Chris Jericho taking the ring for his reinstated talk show, but Jericho was interrupted by Big Cass, who is still without his partner Enzo Amore. Big Cass challenged Jericho to a fight and delivered a brutal boot to the face, setting up a showdown in the main event later that night.

With Big Cass in the ring at the end of the show, Jericho took to the ramp for his signature light-up jacket entrance in a dark arena - but he was mysteriously attacked and stripped of his jacket.

The lights came back on to reveal Dean Ambrose in the center of the ring, who produced a pair of scissors and destroyed Jericho's "$15,000" jacket.

Jericho was livid. Big Cass, meanwhile, momentarily vanished and appeared only to throw Jericho back in the ring to deal with Ambrose.

The scene broke momentarily to go backstage, where Stephanie McMahon and her brother Shane bonded.

That's the way Raw came to and end Big Cass didn't get to main event Raw for the first time, which he said earlier was "the biggest match of his life," and fans were left with Jericho screaming about the cost of his jacket. WWE fans were split on the gag, and reactions ranged from "this is funny" to "what is going on?"
